Metal nasal opening strip
A sheet-metal strip that holds the nasal bridge open without adhesive.
02Approach
Retention was worked out first. One strip folds its ends into flat tabs, and another presses oval dimples into the band where it meets the skin. Bend radii and the recessed lettering were then set so each part unfolds to a flat blank.
03Result
STEP models and flat patterns for each retention version, so a sheet-metal shop can cut the blanks and form the strips without redrawing them.
