02Approach
The lifting mechanism, the housing and the above-ground post were developed as one assembly with the seals designed in from the start rather than added later. Drive and guide components were sized for the load of a vehicle stopping on the post.
03Result
A complete actuated assembly with drawings and a bill of materials for the post, mechanism and in-ground housing.
