Custom-fit arm cast
One scan becomes a ventilated cast shaped to the patient.
02Approach
The limb scan was cleaned and used as the inner surface. A lattice was grown over it with cell sizes chosen for stiffness where the fracture needed it and openness everywhere else. Every strut was checked against the printer's minimum feature size.
03Result
A one-piece cast that fits one person, ventilates through the whole surface and prints without internal supports. The same method works for any limb scan.
