Open frame that spreads occlusal force and holds instruments steady.

The open frame came first, leaving few closed pockets for debris. Triangular arms with eyelets at their tips give the attachment points, and a graduated slide with a pull ring adjusts the fit. Wall sections were sized for 3D printing.

A printable model of the flange, bite channel, curved tongue plate and graduated slide, so a trial piece can be made and handled before the design is fixed.
